According to a report in India Today, after his arrest, Aryan cried inconsolably. The NCB sources added that as part of a legal process, Aryan got to talk to his father, actor Shah Rukh Khan, for about two minutes from a landline phone.
Actor’s Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan will remain in the custody of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) till October 7 ruled a Mumbai court on Monday. The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested Aryan and seven others, including two women, after the raid on the Goa-bound cruise ship, and the 23-year-old has been charged under sections 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of he Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. He was being represented by senior advocate Satish Maneshinde, who argued, “We (Aryan and Arbaaz Seth Merchantt) were found together but that doesn’t mean there is anything in common”.
Meanwhile, SRK received industry support on social media. Actor and close friend Salman Khan visited Shah Rukh at his residence Mannat late Sunday night. Salman’s sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri visited Mannat on Monday. Other personalities such as actor Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, filmmaker Pritish Nandy, actor Nafisa Ali showed their support via tweets and messages. Nafisa even urged people not to be harsh on Aryan in this difficult time, writing, “Aryan, a young man who I pray for. Needs to be helped not destroyed and not be made an example of”. Nandy shared, “It’s not easy being SRK’s son. The slightest misdemeanour risks being wildly exaggerated. Kids make mistakes. Punish him, by all means, if the tests confirm his guilt. But let’s not crucify him in the media”.
