Mother’s Day: UP-based actors share and talk about creating precious memories
Celebrating Mother’s Day, actors make sure that the special day is all about love, bonding and connect. From sharing gifts, cards to saying it with cakes, it’s all about delightful time spent together away from their hectic shoot schedules.
On this day today, UPbased actors share some wonderful memories they have created while spending the special day with their children.
Lucknow-based actor Farhana Fatema is mother to a 10year-old daughter.
She is super excited for the day and plans to surprise her.
“Mother’s Day for my daughter is a day where she does not wish to leave my side. Even if I am on a shoot she tags along. It has been so since she was six and realized what the day is all about. She calls me her best buddy and it actually seems so. These days, I am busy with my ongoing show Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai and we usually pack-up around 8 pm. The moment I am done for the day, I get a customary call from my daughter Maisara saying ‘Ho gya na kaam...ab jaldi aao…I’m waiting over dinner…’ This way my dinner is always with her and those few hours that I get to be with her are magical for me.”
Actor Sapna Sikarwar feels every day is a Mother’s Day and celebrating such days makes life worthwhile. “My 10-yearold daughter Manya is extremely excited on days where she gets to be with me. And the best part about the day is that whatever little bit she does for me on such days
— be it my birthday or Mother’s Day — I have to say thank you with a return gift (laughs). But no complaints as I love that shine in her eyes when we together unwrap our gifts and read our cards.”
Sikarwar adds, “She makes every day special for me and I enjoy when she showers all that love on me by getting her favourite stuff as a gift. So this year it will be her much desired laptop. Seeing me play a mother on screen in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan is something that she values and this makes me so happy that she well understands my job.”
