Together for an empowered Lucknow

An event was organised in the city by a social media group to discuss an array of women related issues. The group has been largely associated with such issues for quite some time now.

Talking about the event founder member of Huddle Empower Rise (H.E.R), Aisha Ayub said, “A large number of empowered women from our society joined us at the event for important conversations and spoke on some relevant topics and major challenges faced by women today. Also how our group can be a platform to support those in dire need of help be it socially, monetarily or physically.”

Dr. Aakansha Godiyal took an interactive session on the topic of skincare for all age groups of women. A very informative session was by

Ruchi Kapoor (CA) on managing finances and investing money rightly as a homemaker or working professionals.

Paediatric dentist Dr Neha Saxena shared common problems faced by mothers with kids and oral health care. Eucationist Shobha Dev (principal of Mother Care School) talked about – Post Pandemic behavioural issues faced by young children.

Advocates Surangama Sharma and Ujjwala Shankar enlightened the gathering about rights of women and Domestic Violence remedies under DV Act 2005 respectively.

“Many women out there are apprehensive and unclear about physical violence, I would like to add that it does falls under domestic violence act along with a number of other such small or big violent acts against them,” shared advocate Shankar.

Later, awards to felicitate work of excellence were given away to a number of Lucknowites including Anupama Raag (Bollywood singer and deputy commissioner GST), Priya Khanna (entrepreneur), and Raina Pandey (Chef-ifestyle influencer).

RJ Naaz conducted a special contest giving a chance to the winner to host a show along with her.
