Three days of fun, fiesta and magic
The closing ceremony of the Babu Banarasi Das Educational Group’s annual youth fest Utkarsh-2023 was a memorable affair for its staff and students. A large of number cultural programmes and contests were held at Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta Stadium located on the campus.
The chief guest of this closing ceremony was group’s chairperson Alka D Gupta along with Viraj Sagar Das Gupta and Devanshi Das. The finale began with Ganesh Vandana followed by bhangra performance, western folk dance and more.
In his address, the chief guest appreciated the presentations of the students and congratulated everyone for the success of the threeday annual festival Utkarsh. This year Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Student of the Year Award went to Harsh
Srivastava, Heera Fatima, Vishwas Bhatt, Akshat Srivastava and Aksa Ahmed, from various departments.
Talking about the fest chief of the event Prof SMK Rizvi, shared, “Earlier, on the second day following the theme of the fest, Go Green World, students came up with models based on environmental balance, artificial intelligence, smart city, water harvesting and more. NSS students gave a good message to the society to strike a balance with the environment. Newspaper racks made during the fine art competition, Panchtatva themed dream catcher, wall paintings were the center of attraction.”
A range of technical competitions where held which included Kaun Banega Technochamp, Robo Marathon, a race of the robots all made by the students. The cultural scene saw a short drama Rango while during the Face Off event the students staged a variety of dancing and singing acts. A fashion show brought college fashionistas on the ramp to win the title of Miss and Mr Utkarsh.
The first day witnessed a colourful inauguration ceremony with principal secretary Revenue Department, Uttar Pradesh, Sudhir lighting the ceremonial lamp. On the occasion chief executive director RK Agrawal and vice chancellor SK Mittal were present along with students and staff members.
