BJP sees trap in chopper routes
RANCHI: BJP state in-charge, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Thursday alleged that under the influence of the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha coalition state government, officials were deliberately providing wrong landing locations to choppers used by BJP leaders, which could prove fatal.
In a letter to the Election Commission, the BJP has sought action against the concerned officer who approved the landing location for Rawat’s chopper in Chhatarpur on Wednesday.
The chopper was given a landing position at Kasamar, 40km from the desired landing spot. Rawat said the village had a high population of left wing extremist rebels and could have proved fatal for those in the chopper.
JMM general secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya, said, “The official is liable for punishment if he has given wrong information, but BJP doesn’t have the right to blame the ruling government for it.”
