Fire at Vishakhapatnam Steel Plant; no casualty
VISAKHAPATNAM: A fire broke out in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) on Friday afternoon but no casualty was reported. The blaze was noticed in the plant’s blast furnace No 2 at around 1.30pm, the government-run steel undertaking said in a release here. The fire was caused by malfunctioning of tuyers (pipe which supplies air blast to the furnace for combustion purpose). Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot and they put out the blaze within a short time, the release added.
