World class stadium to be built in Haldwani

DEHRADUN: A world class stadium will be built over an area of 30.20 hectares at Greater Haldwani in Nainital district at a cost of Rs 225 crore.

Chief minister Harish Rawat will perform the bhumi pujan at greater Haldwani Gaulapar on November 13 for the project considered to be the costliest and the most ambitious in the entire Kumaon region, State finance minister and Haldwani MLA Indira Hridayesh said Friday. Construction of the world class stadium in Haldwani will pave the way for the allround development of the town besides imparting to it an identity of its own at the national and international level, Hridayesh said.
