For mer India U-19 wicketkeeper-batsman Goswami anchored the Bengal innings as his unbeaten 110 took Bengal to a respectable 220 for six after being put into bat at the newly constructed Bengal Cricket Academy ground, here today.

Once Banerjee was dismissed, skipper Shukla (0) and Sayan Sekhar Mondal (9) also went in quick succession as Bengal were reduced to 145 for six by 42nd over.

However another 65 runs were added by Goswami along with veteran all-rounder Saurashish Lahiri (27, 22 balls) as hosts crossed 200-run mark.
