INFANTS RESPOND MORE TO MOMS THAN DADS?
Infants are exposed to more speech from mothers during their first year, which is why they often pay more attention to mothers, report researchers in the journal Pediatrics. While fathers responded to infants about 27% to 30% of the time, mothers responded 88% to 94% of the time. This could be because mothers are more directly involved with the care of infants through feeding and changing, suggest researchers.
