IMPRESSIVE TURNOUT
NEW DELHI: Kerala Blasters may have lived their initial days of the ISL out of a suitcase, but those troubles were quickly forgotten after their first home game in Kochi, one that had more than 47,000 fans attending. “The crowd was fantastic. It feels great that the fans have connected with the team,” said Kerala Blasters general manager Viren D’Silva. That the local fans, who are traditionally inclined to football, were not put off by the poor results of Blasters, with just a win from five games, ahead of the match, was particularly impressive.
