Open recruitment rally for Army posts from Nov 17

LUCKNOW: An open recruitment rally for the posts of soldier general duty, soldier technical, soldier tradesmen and soldier clerk/store keeper technical will be conducted at Jagatpur Degree College, Varanasi from November 17 to 26.

The recruitment rally, which will be for seven districts -Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Mau, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Azamgarh, Deoria and Varanasi, will be conducted district wise as follows: Sonbhadra-- November 17, Chandauli-November 18, Mau-- November 19, Sant Ravidas Nagar-- November 20, Azamgarh-- November 21, Deoria-- November 22.

At Varanasi, the rally will be held for two days. While the recruitment for soldier clerk/ store keeper technical and soldier tradesmen will be held on November 23 and for soldier general duty and soldier technical categories on November 24.

The Tradesmen Aptitude Test for tradesmen would be conducted on November 25 at the rally site. Eligible candidates are required to bring 15 unattested, passport size photographs clicked within the last six months along with original certificates, including sanad, mark sheet, domicile certificate/nativity certificate (with photograph), caste certificate (essential for all castes), character certificate issued by gram pradhan within last six months and marriage certificate.

The limit age for soldier general duty is between 17.5 and 21 years whereas the age for soldier technical, soldier tradesmen and soldier clerk/store keeper technical is a 17.5 to 23 years.

Common Entrance Examination of all fit candidates will be conducted on February 1, 2015 at Army Recruiting Office, Varanasi Cantt.
