INSOMNIA A SIGN OF BACK PAIN?

-

If you have trouble sleeping, you are nearly 1.5 times more likely to eventually suffer from back pain, according to a new study.

Insomnia can predict the appearance of back pain in adults, the research states. Back pain is a very common ailment: Between 60% to 80% of the adult population will suffer from back pain at some point in their lives. The reasons are varied, though experts say 90% of those suffering from it have no identifiable cause. Some 50% of back-pain sufferers also complain of insomnia, defined as difficulty getting to sleep, prolonged awakening at night, or waking up too early in the morning for more than a month at a time.
