CONFUSION AMONG COMMUTERS

On the first day of traffic diversions in wake of digging work for metro rail, there was a lot of confusion among commuters.
Many had heated exchange of words with the police which blocked the road in front of Burlington crossing.
District administration, traffic police officials along with senior LMRC men decided to remove the transformer at the Udaiganj turn as it was blocking the passage of commuters. Encroachments on this stretch and Odeon cinema road would also be removed for smooth traffic. There is a missionary school in front of Akashvani where the divider would be broken for the movement of students and additional marshals would be deployed. District magistrate Raj Shekhar said some issues came up on the first day of diversions but in all the route is perfect.
