New way of learning being explored

LUCKNOW: Can you glow CFL without connecting to wire or can you have a coloured shadow? A new way of experiential learning is being implemented at Excellia School in Omaxe City, Lucknow. In its mission to cultivate child’s curiosity, this school has implemented an innovative methodology to teach science. The school held an orientation program for students and parents to show how this method works. During the program, the school glowed the CFL (Compact Florescent Light) and FL (florescent light/tube light) without connecting to wire. In this process they explained different types of bulbs, transformation of energy, conductors and non conductors. Highlight of the event was the way they linked the same to real life experience. They explained how touch screen works. Principal of the school, Tuhina Srivastava said that with this method, they want students to understand the concept of science than to mug up the definitions. It will help students think & understand more.
