Furore after PNB staffer calls youth a terrorist

A group of people staged a protest outside a Punjab National Bank branch in Kanpur after a youth alleged that a bank employee had refused to open his account and accused him of being “a terrorist like other Muslims.” The remark outraged the residents of Chamangunj area who thronged the bank’s Prem Nagar branch and sought unconditional apology from the bank’s clerk. The youth said he would file a police complaint in case the bank fails to act against the employee.
