The Delhi Dynamos have signed three young players for this season’s Indian Super League. Striker Arjun Tudu joins from Army XI, midfielder Rupert Nongrum and defender Chinglensana Singh Konsham have been signed from Shillong Lajong.

In fact, this will be the debut IPL season for all three of them.

“I have seen videos of these players and found them very talented. I am happy that we have been able to sign them and I am sure they will be instrumental in our team’s success in the new season,” said Gianluca Zambrotta, head coach of Delhi Dynamos.

Tudu, who belongs to a remote village in Jamshedpur, has been a top performer for the Services team, scoring 10 goals as they successfully defended the 2016 Santosh Trophy. He was also an integral part of the Army XI which plays in the Kolkata League.

Rupert debuted in 2015 with Shillong Lajong where he rose up the ranks from the youth squad. Starting in 2010, he impressed everyone in the youth tournaments before making his senior debut last year. He is considered as an exciting prospect and could prove to be the best Indian signing for the Dynamos this year.
