Youth held for enticing minor girl with bad intentions

Cops on Thursday arrested a youth on charges of trying to entice a minor girl with bad intentions. The girl is a student of a Class 1 of St Clare’s Convent Senior Secondary School, Hardoi road, Claraganj, under Kakori police station.

The arrested person was identified as one Shahbaz, 20, a native of Baloo Adda.

Rohit Chandra, father of the girl, had lodged a complaint with the Kakori police complaining against Shahbaz cajoling his minor daughter with bad intentions.

Ram Naresh Yadav, station house officer, Kakori police station, said: “Shahbaz has been arrested and sent to jail.”

Shahbaz runs a shop near the school campus for repairing chairs. Rohit informed that the accused used to often follow his daughter and often offered candies to the child.“I came to know about it when my daughter informed about the person to her mother,” said Rohit Chandra.
