THE UTTAR PRADESH CONGRESS COMMITTEE TOO SUPPORTED THE STRIKES ON TERRORISTS’ CAMPS AND HOPED PAKISTAN WOULD NOT INDULGE IN SUPPORTING TERROR IN FUTURE.

Political parties in Uttar Pradesh have hailed the Indian Army’s surgical strikes across LoC.

One of the state spokespersons of the Samajwadi Party Ashok Bajpai said the party saluted all the soldiers who participated in the operation.

Bajpai said the people of the country were expecting such a move and the need for it heightened since the dastardly attack on Indian soldiers in Uri.

An agency report also quoted party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav extending his party’s support to the strikes.

The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) too supported the strikes on terrorists’ camps along the LoC and hoped Pakistan would not indulge in supporting terror in future.

UPCC president Raj Babbar in a press statement congratulated the soldiers for their act of bravery and said this would certainly act as a deterrent.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union home minister Rajnath Singh, union defence minister Manohar Parrikar and the Indian Army for the successful operation.

Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party chief Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “The Indian army and the Modi government deserve full praise for the manner in which they went about teaching Pak a lesson.”

Maurya said the Modi government’s firmness in dealing with Pakistani infiltrators had been exemplary. “It has conveyed to Pakistan that it cannot take India lightly. Not anymore,” Maurya said.
