Some outfits creating atmosphere of terror: Madani

-

LUCKNOW: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind chief Maulana Mahmood Madani said on Thursday that outfits related to ruling party at the Centre were creating an atmosphere of terror in the country.

Madani, who was in the state capital to attend a Dalit-Muslim get together, said the Dalit-Muslim movement was a non-political platform and had nothing to do with politics or elections in Uttar Pradesh.

“Conventions of Dalits and Muslims will not be enough unless students of both the communities come together. I have decided to invite Dalit and tribal students to a ‘madrasa’ in Deoband. Such an event will be organised at least one in a month,” said Madani.

He asked the Maulanas present on the occasion to organise such an event at ‘madrasas’ at regular intervals.

Commenting on the condition of Muslims in the country, Madani stated that Indian Muslims were far better than their counterparts in other countries of the sub-continent.

“A party in Uttar Pradesh always tries to create fear psychosis among the Muslims against a particular political party to secure their votes. However, this party has done nothing for the Muslim community,” said Madani without naming any political outfit.
