The Uttar Pradesh IAS Association has reiterated its demand to re-designate those IAS officers, who have been given the chief secretary’s scale, as additional chief secretaries.
The association’s executive committee made the demand at its meeting held here on September 29. The association demanded that the officers of 1985 and 1986 batches be given the chief secretary’s scale. It decided to take up again with the state government the issue of re-designating such officers as additional chief secretaries.
The association demanded that the state government should immediately issue orders for implementation of seventh pay commission recommendations with respect to IAS officers posted in Uttar Pradesh. It said the union government has already implemented the seventh pay commission recommendations.
The association said the promotions due to be given to the IAS officers in January 2017 should be given in November 2016 itself as promotions would not be possible once the Election Commission’s code of conduct came into force.
The association has also decided that the academic session in the Sanskriti School coming up here should be started in 2017.
The association will take up with the state government the issue of children education allowance. It said though a government order had been issued on the issue, the appointment department had not issued orders for its payment.
The association has also demanded that all the officers who have retired in the chief secretary’s scale be given the same facility in allocation of rooms at UP Sadan as was given to former chief secretaries.
