Kin demand speedy probe

-

family members of Yash Kesarwani, 13, who died under mysterious circumstances at his school Children’s Academy in Mall Avenue on Tuesday, demanded speedy forensic examination to ascertain the cause of death. The doctors had failed to ascertain the cause in the postmortem examination and had preserved the viscera for forensic examination.

“We wanted to know the truth behind Yash’s death and seek justice for him,” said Yash’s father Naresh Kesarwani while talking to HT. He alleged it was negligence of the school administration as they initially tried to mislead the family about Yash’s death.

“The school authorities said Yash was epileptic and he died due to it but he had never faced such problem at home. He was totally fit and active. He was absolutely fine when he went to school on Tuesday morning and suddenly died,” said the deceased’s brother Anubhav, adding, “How did it happen? There are some facts not known behind his death”.

He suspected the school authorities of hiding some facts behind the incident and also accused the local cops of slackness in probing the case. the family had lodged an FIR of causing death due to negligence against the school authorities at Gautampalli police station.

“The post-mortem report not confirming the cause of death has now become another point for police to delay the probe. So we wanted speedy examination of the viscera to ascertain the cause behind the mysterious death my brother,” he added. Yash, a Class 7 student of Children’s Academy in Mall Avenue, had died under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday after developing some complication.
