LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party (SP) national general secretary Ramgopal Yadav, who was expelled from the party for six years on Sunday evening, wrote another letter post his ouster wherein he said: “Netaji is surrounded by demonic powers... In the ongoing crusade (dharmyudh), I am with Akhilesh Yadav.”

He had issued this letter from Mumbai. It was preceded by another letter in the morning.

He had issued a war cry in the morning letter, asking Akhilesh supporters to fight without fear.

In the evening letter, too, he said: “I once again appeal to Akhilesh supporters not to get misled and with full unity and power engage with Akhilesh so that ‘dalals’ in politics fail to script Akhlesh’s defeat.”

The evening letter begins: “Netaji is not only my elder brother, but also my guru in politics, and will continue to be so. I will respect him lifelong.”

He wrote: “Netaji is currently surrounded by demonic power. Once he is rid of those powers, truth will dawn upon him. It hardly matters whether I stay in or out of the Samajwadi Party, but in the crusade (dharm-yudh) I am with Akhilesh Yadav and will stay with him till he becomes CM again.”

He said that he did not regret his ouster from the party, but was hurt about the allegations levelled at him.

“In a democratic polity, to meet leaders of other political parties is no crime. I too went with Netaji to invite the prime minister for a family function that was held in Saifai (Tej Pratap Singh Yadav’s wedding).

He also cited some other events that were hosted by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including a feast for Shivraj Singh’s son’s wedding and other such events.

“If I am guilty of attending those, then Netaji and Shivpalji too had attended those.”
