RDSO men, ZZC women win basketball titles
RDSO men and hosts Zareen Zaidi Club women won the titles at the 1st Zareen Zaidi Memorial 3x3 Basketball Cup, notching up contrasting wins, at the KD Singh ‘Babu’ stadium here on Sunday. RDSO men beat Zareen Zaidi Club 19-14, whereas ZZC women beat Pandavs Club by 21-6. Rani Laxmi Bai School (RLB) defeated Pandavs Club by 15-14 in a thriller to win the boys team title. In all 45 teams took part in the two-day event, organised by the ZZ Basketball Club in association with Lucknow District Basketball Association.
CRICKET TOURNEY
The Sound Images Cricket Club will organise the Sagar Khayyami Memorial Cricket Tournament A Division from March 1 to 11, at the Chowk and LDA stadiums here. Hosts SIC will take on LDACC in the opening encounter, at the Chowk stadium. Other participating teams include, UP Timber, LCA Club, Northern Railway, NE Railway, Akhil Infra Cricket Club and Rudransh Cricket Club. CBS XI WIN CBS XI, Etah defeated AIM XI, Hathras by eight-run to win the Gramin Bank of Aryavrat InterDistrict Cricket Tournament, at the LDA Stadium here on Sunday. CBS XI managed 113 for five in 20 overs while batting first after winning the toss. In reply, AIM XI could make 105 for eight in 20 overs.
FINE VICTORY
Excer’s Cricket Club notched up a facile five-wicket win against Aryavrat Cricket Academy to collect full points in the SRM Under-16 Cricket Tournament, at the Aryavrat College here on Sunday. Needing 126 to win in 35 overs, Excer’s Cricket Club romped home in 23.2 overs.
SINHA CRICKET
It was a day of convincing wins in 10th RD Sinha Memorial Cricket Tournament, at the Avadh School Ground here on Sunday. ASCA Blue defeated ASCA Green by five wickets, whereas ASCA Yellow beat ASCA Red by seven wickets. Shivam Yadav struck 79-ball 149, which contained 20 fours and five sixes for ASCA Blue.
