Digitised certificates for IIML grads
The graduating students of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow will get digitised certificates (read diploma) at the 31st convocation to be held on Monday (March 20). As many as 435 students will graduate this year.
“There will be a photograph of the students as well. We are introducing safety features that will help authenticate their certificate, which can be verified by employers online,” said Pushpendra Priyadarshi, associate professor, (human resource management).
Deep Kalra, CEO, MakeMyTrip.com will be the chief guest and deliver the convocation address. Demonetisation and corporate lay-offs notwithstanding, the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) had again achieved 100% placements for its 31st batch of 435 students in a record three days’ time.
Over 170 domestic and international companies participated in the recruitment drive. The top four segments based on roles offered were sales and marketing, finance, consulting and business development, including some extremely sought-after and niche profiles in the finance domain. The remaining offers came from domains such as operations/supply chain, general management, systems/IT, market research, analytics and human resource, an IIM-L official said.
