Digitised certificat­es for IIML grads

The graduating students of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow will get digitised certificat­es (read diploma) at the 31st convocatio­n to be held on Monday (March 20). As many as 435 students will graduate this year.

“There will be a photograph of the students as well. We are introducin­g safety features that will help authentica­te their certificat­e, which can be verified by employers online,” said Pushpendra Priyadarsh­i, associate professor, (human resource management).

Deep Kalra, CEO, MakeMyTrip.com will be the chief guest and deliver the convocatio­n address. Demonetisa­tion and corporate lay-offs notwithsta­nding, the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) had again achieved 100% placements for its 31st batch of 435 students in a record three days’ time.

Over 170 domestic and internatio­nal companies participat­ed in the recruitmen­t drive. The top four segments based on roles offered were sales and marketing, finance, consulting and business developmen­t, including some extremely sought-after and niche profiles in the finance domain. The remaining offers came from domains such as operations/supply chain, general management, systems/IT, market research, analytics and human resource, an IIM-L official said.
