Jaipur man held for having sex with calf

The Jaipur police on Friday arrested a 27-year-old man for having sex with a calf.

The accused has been identified as Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Pratap Nagar area. Iqbal was arrested following a complaint from the calf owner.

“For the last few days, we suspected that something was wrong with a two-and-a-half-month-old calf that we own, as we would often hear it wailing along with the other cows at night. On Thursday night, after hearing the sound again, we rushed to the cowshed,” said Nathu Lal, the complainant. He said he was shocked to see his neighbour Iqbal having intercourse with the calf. “I called out to my other family members. Iqbal tried to escape, but we caught him. We saw the calf was bleeding profusely as a result of the intercourse and the other cows were also restless,” Lal said. When confronted, Iqbal allegedly confessed to his act. “He told us that he had intercourse with the calf one or two times earlier as well. Thereafter, we took him to the police,” said Lal.

He added that the condition of the calf was worsening by the hour as the bleeding had not stopped. Iqbal, from Bhaptiyahi in Bihar, lived in a rented house near the cowshed.

“We have registered a case under section 377 (voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal) of the IPC against Iqbal and the investigation is,” said an official from the Pratap Nagar police station.
