E-module for PG students available on e-PG pathshala

LUCKNOW: Post graduation students can now log in on the internet for some e-lectures and study material. E- content of over 50 subjects has been made available for students on e-PG pathshala website.

The ministry of human resource developmen­t under its national mission on education through ICT had awarded project for production of courseware content in 77 subjects at post graduation level to UGC.

The University Grants Commission, in a letter to universiti­es, has informed about the courseware for post graduation students that has been made available online in a number of subjects.

“The content developed under this programme is of high quality, curriculum based and interactiv­e, which is available through the e-PG pathshala website----http://epgp.inflibnet.ac.in,” says the circular.

“Around 10,000 plus modules developed in 57 subjects are available on the ePG pathshala website as an open education resource. It may be used as a supplement­ary reading material by PG students. Also, under the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) programme of the ministry of human resource developmen­t, UGC has developed 72 MOOCs, which are available on the SWAYAM platform—htttp://swayam.gov.in/ ,” says the circular.

The UGC in its circular mentioned that informatio­n regarding the websites and availabili­ty of course material on varied subjects be publicised among students through the university and college websites. The move has been welcomed by students and teachers in Lucknow.
