November 23: Junior doctors at New Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital went on strike to protest against manhandlin­g of a female colleague in the emergency department by a patient’s relatives.

July 21: Junior doctors at the Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) went on strike after three resident doctors were assaulted by relatives of a three-year-old girl, who died after being brought to the hospital in a critical condition.

January 25: The resident doctors of Lok Nayak Hospital went on strike after a female doctor was assaulted by the attendants of a patient in the gynaecolog­y emergency.

March 12: A resident doctor from Civil Hospital Dhule ruthlessly beaten up by relatives of a patient who died after a serious head injury

March 16: A doctor and a nurse were manhandled by a mob of 22 people after a critically-ill patient with swine flu died at Nashik Civil Hospital

March 21: Astha Rural Hospital of Sangli was ransacked by patients relatives over delay in post mortem. The relatives were forcing the doctors to conduct the PM during 3.30am and got violent, allegedly with the Shiv Sena party members support at 10.30am.

March 22: a Senior Medical Officer from Sion Hospital was slapped on her arm by patients relatives for delay in treatment. The incident resulted a night long protest by resident doctors who spent the night sitting in the campus and protesting.

March 23: Laxmi Hospital of Aurangabad was ransacked by relatives of a women who couldnt be admitted since the hospital was shut over the IMA strike.
