CM shifts to official residence, hosts first guest Baba Ramdev

LUCKNOW: CM Yogi Adityanath shifted to his official 5, Kalidas Marg residence on the first day of ‘navratra’ on Wednesday. A special ‘puja’ was performed when the CM shifted to his official residence. Baba Ramdev visited him as his first guest.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath shifted to his official 5, Kalidas Marg residence on the first day of auspicious ‘navratra’ on Wednesday.

A special ‘puja’ was performed when the CM shifted to his official residence. Yogi moved in to his official residence after seven seers from Gorakhpur performed cleansing rituals. ‘Swastik’ signs were put up on the entry and exit gates of the CM’s residence to make his stay auspicious.

Soon after Yogi moved in to his new residence, Baba Ramdev visited him as his first guest. Both of them were together for some time and later attended a programme at the Indira Gandhi Pratisthan.

A programme was later organised at the CM’s residence to honour the BJP workers who have worked hard in the organisati­on and during the 2017 assembly elections.

The CM also hosted a ‘falaahari’ dinner (fruit based nongrain food for those fasting during navratra) for his ministeria­l colleagues and senior party leaders.

Yogi had been staying at the VVIP guest house for the last 10 days after being sworn in as the CM on March 19.

The chief minister has not made any extra expenditur­e to effect changes at his official residence.

According to reports, leather items have been removed and a few changes have been made in the kitchen.

Yogi is a vegetarian and uses only stainless steel plates and tumblers. Stainless steel cutlery has been arranged in the kitchen.
