Awadh Tiger Club enter Mullick cricket semis

LUCKNOW : Awadh Tiger Club (ATC) notched up 23-run win against Indian Eleven to make it to the semi-finals of the Annapurna Mullick Cricket Tournament, at the Sports College Ground here on Monday.

After scoring 174 in 34.5 overs while batting first after winning the toss, ATC skittled out for Indian Eleven for 151 in 30.5 overs. Prashant Maurya took three for 20, whereas Vineet Maurya had two for 28.

For Indian Eleven Devashish Pandey (35), Arun Pradhan (2) and Muddasir Khan (22) scored runs.

Earlier, Ashutosh Shukla (37), Vivek Pal (34) and Shareef (30) helped the side cross 150-run mark. Arun Chauhan, Arun Pradhan and Muddasir Khan shared six wickets between them.

MATCH TIED

The league match between Arya Cricket Academy and MACC in Bimla Rani Memorial Under-18 Cricket Tournament ended in a tie as the two sides scored equal runs. ACA managed 190 in 39.3 overs while batting first after winning the toss. In reply, MACC too scored 190 in 40 overs.

WEEKLY BRIDGE

Mukul Gupta and SA Abbasi garnered 64.38 percent points to emerge victorious in the match point pairs event of the Weekly Bridge Tournament, at the Lucknow Club here. In all 11 pairs played 11 rounds of two boards each. Gupta and Abbasi won with a margin of nearly one and a half boards and with a good score. They had six tops, seven above average scores and one zero in their score. RP Narain Arun Srivastava (57.5%) stood second, whereas TP Khare -AK Sinha (56.88%) finished third.
