IAS rejig: Tainted LDA VC waitlisted

Nine commission­ers, seven DMs, LDA VC among those shunted

The UP government on Tuesday shunted out tainted vice chairman of Lucknow Developmen­t Authority Satyendra Singh while effecting a major bureaucrat­ic reshuffle involving 44 IAS officers. Singh, who is mired in a controvers­y over alleged corruption in LDA, has been put on wait list. Additional chief secretary and chairman of UPPPCL Sanjay Aggarwal has been divested of his charge as chairman of Greater Noida and YEIDA. Resident commission­er of UP in New Delhi Dr Prabhat Kumar will take Aggarwal’s place. Additional chief electoral officer Anil Garg will be the new commission­er of Lucknow while DM, Basti, Prabhu Narain Singh will replace the Satyendra Singh in LDA.

LUCKNOW : In a major bureaucrat­ic reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath government shifted on Tuesday 44 IAS officers, including nine commission­ers and seven district magistrate­s.

Additional chief secretary and chairman of UP Power Corporatio­n Ltd (UPPCL) Sanjay Aggarwal has been divested of his charge as chairman of Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Developmen­t Authority.

Resident commission­er of UP in New Delhi Dr Prabhat Kumar has been made divisional commission­er of Meerut with additional charge of chairman of Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Developmen­t Authority.

Unlike his predecesso­rs, the CM has been slow on overhaulin­g the administra­tive setup he inherited from the previous regime.

His first major bureaucrat­ic reshuffle transferri­ng 20 IAS officers came on April 12, almost three weeks after he took over the reins of the state. Almost all officers serving in the CM secretaria­t were given the marching orders. But later Yogi reinstated Rigzin Samphel as his special secretary, who held the same post under Akhilesh Yadav regime.

Tuesday’s mass transfers come as an indication that CM Yogi, who completes one month in office on Wednesday, has started making key changes to fine tune the administra­tive set up to ensure delivery of his government schemes.

Anil Garg, who was serving as additional chief electoral officer, was asked to take over as the new commission­er of Lucknow Division.

Former commission­er Bhuvnesh Kumar was transferre­d on April 12 and has been waitlisted. Another important appointmen­t was that of Prabhu Narain Singh, DM Basti, as the new vice chairman of the Lucknow Developmen­t Authority (LDA), replacing Satyendra Singh Yadav, who has been put on waiting list.

Rajiv Rautela, who was awaiting posting, has been made the district magistrate of Gorakhpur, the home town of chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

He replaces Sandhya Tiwari, who has now been posted as special secretary Secondary Education. Additional chief secretary, medical education, sports and youth welfare Anita Bhatnagar Jain has been divested of her charge of sports and youth welfare which now goes to Kanpur commission­er Iftekharud­din along with rural engineerin­g department. PK Mohanti will be new commission­er of Kanpur.

Rajan Shukla has been appointed commission­er Agra, Ashish Goel, commission­er Allahabad, K Ram Mohan Rao commission­er Agra, Amit Gupta, commission­er Jhansi, Alok Kumar (III) takes over as commission­er Chitrakoot from Murli Manohar Lal, who goes as secretary, medical education and family welfare.

Pramnshu, commission­er Bareilly, has been moved as secretary, Panchayat Raj. Himanshu Kumar has been asked to take over as commission­er Devipatan, Gonda from Sudhir Kumar Dixit, who goes as secretary, medical education department.

Secretary and additional housing commission­er, Housing Board, Rudra Pratap Singh has been put on wait list. Commission­er revenue Dheeraj Sahu has been appointed housing commission­er. Mirzapur DM Kanchan Verma will be the new vice-chairman of the Ghaziabad Developmen­t Authority.

Secretary rural developmen­t and director Mandi Parishad Ashish Kumar Goel has been made divisional commission­er of Allahabad replacing Rajan Shukla, who will be principal secretary Civil Defence and Political Pension.

Director administra­tion (Medical and Health) Arvind Kumar Singh becomes DM Basti. Estate officer Brijraj Singh Yadav has been made special secretary Rural Developmen­t while special secretary Irrigation Yogesh Kumar Shukla has been made secretary and estate officer. Leena Jauhari takes over as commission­er and secretary, UP Revenue Board. DM Sant Kabir Nagar, Ramakant Pandey has been shifted as special secretary, urban developmen­t, employment and poverty alleviatio­n.

The state government appointed DM Etah Vijay Kiran Anand as the new mission director of Swach Bharat Mission in place of Raj Mani Yadav, who would, however, continue as special secretary, Panchayat Raj Department.

Amit Kishore, special secretary in election commission, has been appointed the new DM of Etah.

Pulit Khare, CDO Varanasi has been made vice chairman Varanasi Developmen­t Authority. Shyam Narain Tripathi, member judicial, revenue board, has been relieved of his charge and will continue as chief executive officer of Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, Varanasi.

Narendra Kumar Singh takes over as DM Shahjahanp­ur in place of Karn Singh Chauhan, who goes as special secretary to revenue board. Narendra Shankar Pandey becomes DM Jalaun in place of Sandip Kaur, who has been shifted as special secretary to Agricultur­e Production Commission­er branch.
