organised by the ministry of culture. The failure of previous government in pushing forward the agenda of ‘Swachh Bharat’, to PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Aditynath all find mention in the essays written by children from different schools in the city.

“We decided to organise the cleanliness fortnight in a different manner. Besides cleaning the NCZCC campus and office, we made children as young crusaders of Swachh Bharat Swastha Bharat Mission,” shared Narendra Singh, director in charge of NCZCC.

He said they were quite surprised by the overwhelming response of the schoolchildren towards the initiative. “40 to 50 children from class 5 to 12 are coming to the centre to participate in painting, essay and debate competitions. They are happy that the centre has uploaded their paintings and essay on its official website and Facebook page,” he added.

He said the winners would also be awarded at a function on April 30. “These children are also enc ouraging their parents in keeping the house clean,” Singh said.
