‘Appoint DGRO in every UP district’

ALLAHABAD : The Allahabad high court has directed the state government to appoint district grievance redressal officer (DGRO) in every district within a month for expeditious redress of grievances in matters relating to distribution of foodgrains under the National Food Security Act, MDM scheme and during drought. Justice SP Kesarwani passed the order and disposed of the petition filed by one Ram Lakhan of Etawah. The petitioner’s contention was that in his village fair price shop owner did not distribute essential commodities in specified quantity and at specified rates.
