Hosts exponents shine in state karate
Hosts Lucknow karate exponents staged a fine show on the opening day of the State Karate Championship, winning two gold, three silver and eight bronze medals, at the multipurpose hall of the Chowk Stadium here on Tuesday. Srestha Srivastava and Saksham won gold, while Aditya Yadav had two silver before Aditya Srivastava winning the third silver. Yashika Singh, Riddhima Rastogi, Kabir Pal, Shreya Singh, Vandita Pandey, Revan Channa, Riddhi Gupta and Kavya Tripathi.

Jyoti Club and Lucknow Colts notched up contrasting wins to make it to the final of the SaudUl-Hasan Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, at the Pt Raas Bihari Tewari Stadium here on Tuesday. Jyoti Club defeated NDBG Club by five wickets in the first semi-final, whereas Lucknow Colts scored a thrilling nine-run win against K Academy in the second semi-final.
