Parents of some students of Risabh Academy, a private school, here protested on Thursday against the school management’s alleged order to their children to get ‘Yogi-cut’ hairstyle or else they would not be allowed in school.

The management, however, denied the charge and claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched against the school by a group of students and their parents, who don’t want to follow the school’s policy to maintain discipline.

School manager Ranjeet Jain said he would not succumb to pressure of a handful of parents and students and would continue efforts to maintain disci- pline in school. According to reports, most of these parents were from the minority community, who supported the school’s policy for short hair for students but objected to comparing it with the hairstyle of chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

They blamed school management for spreading communalism in the garb of school policy.

angry parents later calmed down and the management also agreed to allow the students in school after intervention of cops and media persons.

Ranjeet said the 25-year-old school run by the Jain community has banned students from keeping long hair and brining non-veg tiffin.

“A few students of the minority community were continuously disobeying instructions of the management,” he said.

He asked: What is wrong if someone gives example of ‘Yogiji’s hair-cut’ for keeping short hair? How could it be linked to spreading ideology of BJP? Ranjeet added that “It clearly indicates the conspiracy of the handful of persons to destabilise the school.”
