Compensati­on recommende­d for damage

The directorat­e of electrical safety has indicted a junior engineer and an SDO for the high voltage power supply in Deendayal puram near Takrohi area of Indira Nagar on January 28 this year and has recommende­d compensati­on to all the affected residents.

Following the high voltage supply , the electric equipments of more than 25 houses were damaged. Affected residents demanded compensati­on for the loss due to high voltage supply. An inquiry to find the reasons behind the high voltage power supply was conducted by the directorat­e .

A team led by assistant director PK Nigam visited Deendayal puram and examined the damaged electrical equipments in every house. It also examined the power bills and other necessary documents of the residents.

The directorat­e of power safety has informed the residents that it has recommende­d compensati­on for the residents affected by the high voltage supply.

The compensati­on is to be paid by Madhyancha­l Vidyut Vitaran Nigam.

The residents have been directed to contact divisional engineer to claim compensati­on.

The report also recommend action against SDO and JE of the area.

However, GM LESA Asutosh Kumar said the copy of the order was yet to reach LESA and he would comment only after seeing the order.
