Gaurav, Deepak help CPG enter Kapoor cricket semi-finals in style

LUCKNOW: A four-wicket haul by Gaurav Rawat (4/29) and an unbeaten knock of 78 by Deepak Sharma helped Cricket Promotion Group (CPG) enter final of the 3rd Rahul Kapoor Memorial cricket tournament, defeating K Sporting Cricket Academy, at the Chowk stadium here on Monday.

In the second semi-final, Guru Gobind Singh Sports College defeated Awadh Sky Cricket Academy by 56 runs, at the Northern Railway Stadium. BRIEF SCORES KSCA 157 in 37.2 overs (Janmay Singh Yadav 45, Saksham Chandra 26, Gaurav Rawat 4 for 29, Pauresh Mehra 2 for 20) lost to CPG 161 for 5 in 36.2 overs (Deepak Sharma 78, Gaurav Rawat 44, Shiva Yadav 2 for 25). GGSSC 184 for 8 in 35 overs (Arif Hussain 46, Deepak Yadav 36, Rachit Shanker 21, Amit Tewari 3 for 32, Uma Javed Kamal 2 for 30) beat Awadh Sky Cricket Academy 128 in 30 overs (Mahendra Singh 81, Arun Kumar 5 for 14, Rachit 2 for 14, Rohit Pandey 2 for 18). AMIT EXCELS An unbeaten half-century by Amit Verma helped Lucknow Cricketers score a thumping eight-wicket win against Gulmohar Cricket Academy ‘Blue’ in a league match of the Under-15 Sandeep cricket tournament, at the RDSO stadium here on Monday. FINE BOWLING Fine bowling by Zulfiqar Ali (4/29) and Wahabul Ali (3/31) guided Nawab Cricket Club notch up a thrilling nine-run win against Rahul Kapoor Cricket Academy in a league match of the Prime Sports Trophy, at the Multi Activity ground here on Monday.
