Minor raped, thrown into dry well in Pratapgarh

eight-year-old girl was raped and then thrown into a dry well in Kaudhaur area of Pratapgarh late on Sunday night. Villagers found the girl in an injured and unconsciou­s condition and got her admitted to hospital.

An FIR has been registered against unidentifi­ed culprits in this connection.

Resident of Antu area, the girl along with her family had gone to attend a marriage in a village. She was abducted from there in the night. Station house officer, Kaudhaur, MP Singh said the FIR had been registered and suspects were being questioned.

GIRL STABBED BY ‘JILTED LOVER’

A youth barged into the house of a teenage girl with whom he was in a one-sided love and stabbed her in neck and stomach under Tharwai police station.

He fled the scene before he could be nabbed. The girl was admitted to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital and an FIR was registered in this regard.

The victim is a BA first year student and the youngest daughter of one Sanjay Kumar Pal of Shram Chandi village of Tharwai. One Dhirendra of the same village used to stalk her as it was a case of one-sided love.

He got enraged when Pal’s daughter resisted his advances. Inspector, Tharwai police station, Udayveer Singh said an FIR had been registered against Dhirendra and three others.

The SHO added that a massive hunt had been launched to nab them.
