‘No criminals will be spared in state’

Chief minister Yogi Adiyanath expressed deep concern over the crime incidents that took place during the past two months.

Addressing party workers at the CSA Auditorium soon after his arrival in Kanpur on Saturday, the chief minister, however, said the good thing was that these incidents were being worked out.

He further said that no criminal, however big or influentia­l they may be, would be spared and that police would trace them from their hideouts.

He alerted the party workers that they should remain vigilant against the nefarious designs of the hardened criminals.

Yogi Adityanath also reiterated his government’s pledge that Uttar Pradesh would be free from the criminals and that people would be able to live safely and peacefully.

“Frustrated workers of the opposition parties have resorted to criminal activities but they would fail in their attempts,” the CM said.

He hoped the city would be among top 100 clean cities of the country by next year.

On cleanlines­s, the CM it was an uphill task that could not be achieved by government efforts alone. It required people’s cooperatio­n and support, Yogi said. He exhorted the party workers to get ready for the upcoming civic elections to ensure resounding victory of party-backed candidates.

Earlier, while addressing the the district officials at the review meeting at the KDA hall he directed the officials to maintain law and order situation in the state so that the poor, women and the neglected people could get justice.

The chief minister said that the criminals knew they would be dealt with in the same language which they “understood.”

Besides, laws relating to ban on cow slaughter should be enforced and the smuggling of cows from here should be stopped,he said.
