HTC has Sense Companion, Panasonic offers Arbo AI, and Samsung is trying to make life easier for users with Bixby. Even app developers have been trying to use AI to make their apps smarter and more intuitive. Here are some Android and iOS apps that are all free, and which use AI in different ways.
GOOGLE PHOTOS Android, iOS
Google Photos uses AI to organise your photos into albums based on a common element between them. For example, all your images with a car in it will be clubbed into a folder called Cars. The app also has a facial recognition tool which can identify faces in a photo and clubs photos with common people together.
It has a feature called Shared Libraries which uses AI to make sharing photos easier by automatically adding photos relevant to a shared library. For example, photos of children taken by one spouse will automatically show in the shared library with another spouse.
ALLO Android, iOS
Google’s messaging app Allo uses machine learning and natural language processing to understand the content and context in a conversation and provide suggestions that are more relevant to the situation.
The more you use it, the better it understands your style of conversation and will remember specific words.
It can also detect content and context in photos shared on the messenger and can suggest replies based on the content in the photo.
SWIFTKEY KEYBOARD Android, iOS

It also remembers upcoming birth- days of your contacts and allows users to schedule a birthday email for the contact.
SOCRATIC Android, iOS
Socratic is a learning app which uses AI to assist users in their study. To use it you have to take a picture of a mathematical or other study related questions and the app will figure out on its own what concepts you need to learn to answer the questions. It uses computer vision technologies, which allows it to understand questions in images and then provide a solution to it in text format.
