State cabinet nod to Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan in Ghaziabad
The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has given its nod to the proposal to construct Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan near Hindon bridge in Ghaziabad to provide better facilities to pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar, Sindhu Darshan, Amar Nath and Char Dham Yatra etc.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the meeting of the state cabinet that also decided to increase pension payable to Divyang (specially abled) from Rs 300 per month to Rs 500 per month. The decision would cover nearly 883157 Divyang (specially abled persons).
Briefing media persons, UP minister for medical and health Siddharth Nath Singh said a sum of Rs 50 crore would be spent on construction of the building that would provide accommodation to 500 pilgrims at a time. The Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam has identified the land for the new building, which will be constructed in an area of 8125 square metres. An adjacent garden would be developed on additional 1000 square metre land.
The Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam would transfer the land free of cost to religious endowment department and the construction of building is expected to be complete in 24 months. Yogi had announced about his government’s move for construction of Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan during his visit to Gorakhpur on March 25.
The cabinet also decided to amend the UP Members of Legislature (Emoluments and pension) Act to allow former members to get rail coupons (existing Rs 1 lakh per annum) for Rs 50000 and reimbursement of up to Rs 50000 per annum for fuel for their vehicles. Amended rules will allow members to extend date for submission of utilization from May 31 to August 31. About 2500 former members of state legislature will be benefitted from the decision.
The state cabinet also approved a proposal for upgradation and beautification of Visheshwar guesthouse of Allahabad High Court in Varanasi. A sum of Rs 3.36 crore will be spent on the upgradation of the guesthouse.
THE CABINET ALSO DECIDED TO ALLOW FORMER MEMBERS TO GET RAIL COUPONS (EXISTING RS 1 LAKH PER ANNUM) FOR RS 50000 AND REIMBURSEMENT OF UP TO RS 50000 PER ANNUM FOR FUEL FOR THEIR VEHICLES.
