Police teams feted for good work

State director general of police (DIG) Sulkhan Singh said on Tuesday the state police would work out the sensationa­l crime cases in various districts soon.

Singh felicitate­d the police team, which nabbed the criminals involved in the loot and murder at a jeweller’s shop in Mathura.

The cops who rescued a businessma­n Sanjay Mittal from the clutches of kidnappers within five hours in Firozabad district were also felicitate­d.

Recently, chief minister Yogi Adityanath had announced that police officers who work out crime cases speedily will be rewarded and the erring ones will be punished.

Later, addressing a press conference, Sulkhan Singh said the superinten­dents of police of Lucknow as well as other districts had been directed to work out sensationa­l crime cases in their respective districts.
