Mayawati

-

She accused the BJP of wanting to gain political advantage from the caste violence.

She claimed that no caste or communal violence occurred during her four terms as UP chief minister. Mayawati also held the district magistrate and the senior superintendent of police (SSP) responsible for clashes and said: “I know they work on the directions of the CM, but being responsible officers they must give the right feedback to the CM and work for maintaining brotherhood among people.”

She asked the administration to find an amicable solution to the issue. Lashing out at the Modi government at the centre, she said atrocities on Dalits had increased under BJP rule and asserted that Dalits needed respect and livelihood. She said Dalits did not need any museum or institution from the BJP. She asked the Dalits to celebrate the birth anniversaries of icons under the aegis of the BSP instead of small organisations. “It will help protect you from the conspiracies of rivals,” she said.

SHE CLAIMED THAT NO CASTE OR COMMUNAL VIOLENCE OCCURRED DURING HER FOUR TERMS AS UP CHIEF MINISTER.
