ASCA ‘Red’ in Yorker Trophy final with big win

LUCKNOW: An all-round performanc­e by Priyavarat Pandey (3 wkts, 55*) helped Abhijeet Sinha Cricket Academy (ASCA) ‘Red’ score a thumping eight-wicket win against Aryavrat Cricket Academy (ACA) to make it to the final of the Under-14 Yorker Trophy Cricket Tournament, at the Multi Activity ground here on Friday.

Priyavarat took three for 29 as ACA got out for 169 in 33.2 overs while batting first after winning the toss. In reply, ASCA ‘Red’ romped home in 29.1 overs, losing just two wickets. Priyavarat struck unbeaten 55 in 71 balls with the help of four boundaries and a six, whereas Lalit Kumar also made unbeaten 69, which came off 47 balls with the help of four fours and six sixes. BRIEF SCORES ACA 169 in 33.2 overs (Vikrant Singh 32, Abhishek Pandey 25, Karan Mishra 24, Priyavarat 3 for 29, Aman Tewari 2 for 29, Lalit Kumar 2 for 37) lost to ASCA ‘Red’ 171 for 2 in 29.1 overs (Lalit Kumar 69*, Priyavarat Pandey 55*). UCOB IN FINAL UCO Bank defeated Canara Bank by 51 runs to enter final of the AIBOC Inter-Bank Cricket Tournament, at the Pt Raas Bihari Tewari Stadium here on Friday. BRIEF SCORES UCOB 180 for 8 in 20 overs (Gaurav Thakur 46, Manju Sharma 37, Varun 35, Amar Nath 5 for 28, Pankaj 2 for 23) beat Canara Bank 129 in 18.5 overs (Prashant 27, Pushpendra 21, Rahul Kamal 3 for 19, Varun 2 for 13, Manju Sharma 2 for 14, Sandeep Singh 2 for 20).
