“Seven units of Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP) will be organising the awareness programme on the occasion of International Yoga Day simultaneously where the citizens will be informed about Yoga, Clean India, Save Girl Child, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna and a lot more government schemes.
As part of this special outreach programme, the DFP on Friday organised a workshop- ‘Saath hai Vishwaas hai, Ho Raha Vikaas Hai.’
The main topic of discussions was schemes introduced by the government for the welfare of the citizens and how they can be reached to the masses. Short films related to central government schemes were showcased at the workshop.
“Connecting 28 million people to banks, measures against corruption and a lot more such major steps and initiatives undertaken by the central government would be highlighted,” said PIB additional director general Arimardan Singh. “People lack awareness and because of it thousands of people lose the opportunity to avail the easy lifestyle provided by the government,” said Rama Arun Trivedi, programme head, Doordarshan, Lucknow.
