Fed Cup junior athletics begin today
LUCKNOW: Almost all the top athletes of India would be seen in action during the three-day 15th Federation Cup National Junior Athletics Championship, starting Saturday, at the 35th Battalion, PAC stadium here.
Over 900 athletes for 44 events, including 22 in men under-20, have confirmed their participation and a record breaking success would help athletes get selected for the Indian team camp for the upcoming World Junior Athletics Championship.
GGSSC TRIUMPH
Guru Gobind Singh Sports College defeated Awadh Tiger Cricket Academy by four wickets to win the Prime Sports Trophy Cricket Tournament, at the Northern Railway Stadium here on Friday.

Lucknow Colts made it to the final of the Shiv Pal Sawaria Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, defeating National Youngster Club by seven wickets, at the Pt Raas Bihari Tewari Stadium here on Friday.

CONTRASTING WINS
It was a day of contrasting wins in the Shri Girja Shanker Srivastava Memorial Twent20 Cricket Tournament here on Friday. Dhruv Cricket Academy beat SDS Cricket Academy by seven wickets, whereas Jyoti Cricket Club beat DYA Cricket Club by 30 runs.
