Encourage students to excel, says Naik
Uttar Pradesh governor Ram Naik has said that students should be encouraged to excel in the field of their choice. Naik said a university is measured not just by the quality of its buildings and faculty, but by the calibre of its students.
“Hence, it is essential that our youths focus on all-round development of their personalities and do not end up being mere bookworms,” he said at a function held to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of Allahabad State University on Saturday.
“Smile, appreciation, remaining humble and trying not to belittle others are the four principles that will make students successful in their endeavour,” he said.
Praising CM Yogi Adityanath, Naik said, “He is an efficient chief minister and has taken some remarkable steps for the welfare of people.”
On the suicide by a debt-ridden Kaushambi farmer, he said the President, the PM and the UP chief minister had been informed of it for further action.
Deputy chief minister Dr Dinesh Sharma said the education institutions in UP will be developed on the lines of Gujarat.
Vice chancellor, Allahabad State University, Rajendra Prasad welcomed the guests. Registrar Sanjay Kumar proposed a vote of thanks.

Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said the chief minister will soon take a decision on recommending a CBI inquiry into the irregularities in the appointments by the UP Public Service Commission.
