PM STAY OF 15 HRS
This will be the PM’s first overnight stay in Lucknow and he will take part in several events, including a dinner hosted by the CM.
Narendra Modi will be on his fourth visit to the state capital on June 20 after assuming office as the Prime Minister. But this will be his first overnight stay here.
In his nearly 15-hour stay in Lucknow, Modi will take part in several events, including Yoga Day celebrations at the Ramabai Ambedkar ground on June 21.
According to district officials, the Prime Minister would arrive at Amausi airport around 4pm on June 20, from where he would fly down to the Central Drug Research Institute in a helicopter. At the CDRI, he will inaugurate the new building of the institute and also visit their laboratory.
After that, Modi will leave for the new campus of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University at Jankipuram Extension, Sitapur road. He will inaugurate the new campus and dedicate 400 kv Lucknow-Kanpur DC transmission line to the country.
The Prime Minister would also hand over allotment certificates to 20 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Before his night stay at the Raj Bhawan, PM Modi will attend a dinner hosted by chief minister Yogi Adityanath at 5 KD (official residence of the CM).
The next day, Modi will attend the mega yoga event at the sprawling Ramabai Ambedkar ground. Along with the Prime Minister, governor Ram Naik, chief minister Yogi Adityanath and 51,000 other participants will perform yoga on the third International Yoga Day.
The yoga session is expected to start around 6.30am and would end at 7.50am. The Prime Minister would perform yoga for nearly 80 minutes.
