Long power cut at Mantri Awas

-

The Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA) has accused a private telecom company for the prolonged power cut in the VVIP Mantri Awas in Gomti Nagar on Saturday night. LESA accused the company of damaging the underground cable supplying power to the locality.

The cable was damaged at Hahnemann crossing. The LESA control room started receiving calls about the power cut at ministers’ residences. It took LESA over an hour to spot the fault.

However, the power supply was restored in the area after shifting the power to another cable. The faulty cable was repaired on Sunday evening.

The power supply of Bakshi Ka Talab , Itaunja, Kathwara, Kumhrawan, Bauramau, would remain affected for the next one week as 60MVA mega transformer at Navikot Nandana substation developed a technical snag. It would be replaced by another transformer, which will take some time.
