FIR against juvenile home official for duping man of ₹4 lakh

-

LUCKNOW: On the orders of the district court, an FIR was lodged against the assistant superintendent of the state juvenile home on Sunday, on the charges of duping a person of ₹4 lakh in the name of offering a job.

Ashok Kumar Awasthi, assistant superintendent of the juvenile home, resident of Gomti Nagar, had assured one Awadesh Kumar Yadav of Barabanki to appoint him as the computer operator at the juvenile home. Awasthi allegedly took ₹4 lakh in two instalments from Awadesh.

When Awadesh did not receive any job offer, he asked Awasthi to return the money, but to no avail. On March 10, when Awadesh approached the Gomti Nagar police, the cops there refused to lodge a complaint. As a last resort, Awadesh moved to the district court seeking an action against Awasthi.

Finally, on court’s order, an FIR was lodged against Awasthti at the Gomti Nagar police station on Sunday on charges of duping a person.

This is not the first time when Awasthi has duped a person in the name of providing a job at the juvenile home. He also took ₹6 lakh from one Pramod of Unnao at the pretext of facilitating him a job of supervisor at the juvenile home. In this case too, an FIR was lodged against Awasthi.
