STAGE SET FOR YOGA WITH PM

The stage is set for the grand celebratio­ns of the third edition of Internatio­nal Yoga Day on Wednesday with PM Narendra Modi, UP governor Ram Naik and CM Yogi Adityanath slated to lead thousands of yoga enthusiast­s at the sprawling Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan on Wednesday. Over 51,000 people are expected to take part in the ‘grandest of all’ mass yoga programmes organised so far in UP. The Prime Minister will reach the venue at 6:30am. He will perform yoga for almost an hour and then leave for Delhi.

The stage is set for the grand celebratio­ns of the third edition of Internatio­nal Yoga Day on Wednesday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP governor Ram Naik and chief minister Yogi Adityanath slated to lead thousands of yoga enthusiast­s at the sprawling Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan on Wednesday. Over 51,000 people are expected to take part in the ‘grandest of all’ mass yoga programmes organised so far in UP. The Prime Minister will reach the venue at 6:30am. He will perform yoga for almost an hour and then leave for Delhi. Apart from those at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan, 20,000 more enthusiast­s will participat­e in yoga programmes to be organised at 11 parks, including Arvindo Park (Indira Nagar), Zonal Park (Ashiana), Jajagat Park (CM Degree College on Kanpur road), NBRI park (Sikandarba­gh), Begum Hazrat Mahal Park, Lohia Pak (Gomti Nagar), Mini Stadium in Rajajipura­m, Joggers Park (Dubagga), Arjun Park (Jankipuram), Janeshwar Mishra Park and others. Arrangemen­ts have been made to ensure complete security at the main venue. Officials said the ground has been divided into 90 blocks and block magistrate­s have been deployed to guard their respective blocks.
